The Future of Sunflower Roots Inc.
Roots Together is an intergenerational program that supports student leadership, service learning, and social-emotional development. The program brings students together with elders and community partners in a safe, structured, and supervised environment that encourages collaboration, reflection, and shared learning.

Students participate in hands-on activities including creative projects, mentorship, storytelling, and community service. These experiences provide meaningful opportunities for students to practice leadership, build confidence, and engage positively with people of different ages and backgrounds.

Elders serve as mentors and role models, sharing life experience, perspective, and encouragement. These intergenerational relationships support youth development while strengthening communication skills, empathy, civic responsibility, and a strong sense of belonging and connection across generations.

Roots Rising is the teen leadership branch of Sunflower Roots Inc., empowering young people to grow as compassionate leaders through service, creativity, and intergenerational connection.
Grounded in mentorship with seniors and guided by community needs, Roots Rising transforms volunteerism into purpose-driven leadership. Teens develop confidence, responsibility, and real-world skills while learning the value of dignity, empathy, and shared service.
